The Confirmation Program at Grace Lutheran Church is a multi-faceted program that helps youth to affirm what God has done for them in Holy Baptism.  In Grades 7-8-9, youth study the Old and New Testament history of God’s people and get involved in understanding the meaning of the Ten Commandments, the Apostles Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, Holy Baptism and Holy Communion. There will be reflective times as the youth meet and discuss Christian life in relationship to current events with adult Mentors.

An important part of Confirmation is learning the joy and value of serving God by serving God’s creation and people.  As a result, youth take time to clean up a section of road, fill bags of food to help starving children, bring Christmas carols to Senior Citizens.  Students also help in worship as acolytes and worship assistants.

Mixed among all these events are opportunities for group recreational time.  The above program will meet on Wednesdays, sometimes in small groups and in other times as a large group.

Confirmation Sunday or the Affirmation of Holy Baptism takes place in the spring of the youth’s 9th Grade.
