Gifts from Grace Continue to Make a Difference

Students at the Namnyaki Girls Secondary  happily received Bibles and quilts from Grace when IMAGE Project members visited in April.  The new textbooks provided by the Sunday School children and congregation during the World Hunger emphasis in January were being used with great appreciation by both students and teachers.

Grace continues to impact the educational and hunger needs of the Maasai girls with the goats and chickens donated in 2014.  As part of their accounting class, the girls are learning how to keep accurate records for the chickens born, “tragedies”, and number of chickens and eggs sold. The first baby goats were born this spring with record keeping and animal husbandry skills being learned as well. Future agri-businesses are a real possibility for many of the girls from the experiences they are gaining from the goats and chickens donated by Grace. And they also have a source of food for the school!

Be sure to take a look at the pictures from the trip on the west narthex display board.

IMAGE Annual July Fundraiser

Over $15,000 was raised this year ! What a blessing!  These funds provided a good start to the classroom and Chemistry lab that need to be built by the new school year in January. With a grant that just came through, the two buildings will now be able to be finished and the lab completely equipped. Praise the Lord!

A special thank you to the ongoing support of the Sowing Grace Quilters! Not only do they provide quilts for each new girl, they donated a beautiful quilt to auctioned at the fundraiser. $175 was received for this generous contribution by our quilters.
