World Day of Prayer

“WORLD DAY OF PRAYER” A planning meeting for the upcoming “World Day of Prayer” will be held on Friday, February 6th at 1:30 p.m. at the Ogilvie United Methodist Church.  We would like to have one or two from our church to attend this meeting.  If you would be willing to help with the planning of this event, please let me know as soon as possible.  The actual event will be held on Friday, March 6th.  The churches of Kanabec County have sponsored the “World Day of Prayer” since 1942.

Jewish Seder Meal…

Ever been to an official Jewish Seder or Passover Meal?  Temple Israel in Minneapolis has joyfully offered the opportunity for Christians or others to come and be a part of one for 34 years.  You will sample some ritual Passover foods and take part in the Interfaith Seder.  Two years ago, a group from the church attended this event and found it to be very interesting, extremely tasty, filling and fun.  This event helps provide educational and social exchange between Jews and other faiths and gives us a better understanding of Jesus, His last Passover and the basis for our Lord’s Supper.

If you are interested in attending this event on Sunday, March 1st. please contact Pastor Kate who will be reserving seats for us.  The Seder runs from 1:00 – 4:00 pm.  It is free, but we do need to reserve seats.  Let Pastor Kate know by this Friday, the 30th.
