Do You Need An Invitation?

christmas-mall-crowds1            Have you been invited to something fun on Sunday Morning, or maybe Wednesday evenings lately and had to say, “I’ve got church?”  What was your answer?  Did you invite them to come with you to church?  On Ash Wednesday, marking the beginning of Lent, we even had a dinner, soup and bread!  What’s not to like?

Why is it we attend church? What do you love the most?  Leah, our new Volunteer Coordinator asked that very question on our “Grace Facebook” page (if you haven’t already, check it out and join the conversation).  For some it is worship, for others the Bible Studies and Sunday School, it might be because of the community we share with others, and of course our worship of God.  We come because we have been invited by someone, we feel at home, and Jesus Christ invites us to be a part of Him and His ministry.  What’s not to love?

We will be discussing and revisiting the “Mark’s Of Discipleship” this Lenten Season on Sunday mornings.  This week we will look at “Invite.”  We are a people who invite all the time, but studies show we don’t invite people to church for one reason or another.

You attend because you are excited and love what you have in Jesus Christ!  Share that excitement!  Let someone know about what is going on here at Grace Lutheran, give someone an invite!

Consider Yourself Invited!

Peace,

Pastor Brenda Wicklund
